Nate became the owner of Tiger Strength & Wellness in 2024 following a decade of dedication to the fitness industry experience in fitness and coaching, including roles as Strength & Conditioning Director and NCAA athlete.
His journey began as an intern at Tiger Coaching & Personal Training in 2013 under mentor Gary Bredehoft, CSCS. Nate advanced to Strength & Conditioning Coach, contributing to the growth that led to a 2015 move from Rathbone Village to the current location in Stoneview Center. He later became Director of Strength & Conditioning, further expanding the brand.
Nate is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Certified Special Populations Specialist (CSPS), and USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach. He also holds a TPI Golf Level-2 Fitness Certification, working with athletes of all levels, including state champions, and is SURGE Strength Dryland Certified for swimmer-specific training.
A University of South Dakota graduate with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology & Sports Science, Nate competed in NCAA Division I Swimming & Diving and later served as a Human Anatomy Head TA at UNL, where he also pursued additional studies in sciences and psychology.
His experience includes coaching at Lincoln Southeast High School, roles in cardiovascular stress testing, aquatics direction, and personal training.

Josh, originally from Minnetonka, Minnesota, grew up playing hockey and developed a passion for fitness after gaining 20 pounds in three months while training for junior hockey. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Kinesiology and Health from the University of Wyoming and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA.
While at UW, Josh taught Exercise Physiology and Fitness Assessment labs and interned with strength coaches for women’s tennis, soccer, and rodeo teams. Now at UNL Campus Recreation, he oversees academic fitness classes and teaches courses on weight training, personal exercise, and first aid. He enjoys helping athletes build power, speed, and functional strength while incorporating endurance into his own training.
Josh met his wife, MacKenzie, in Wyoming; she is now a physical therapist in Lincoln. He loves indie rock bands like Hippo Campus and Glass Animals and lives by the motto: “If it matters to you, you will make time.”

Abbie is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Nutrition and Exercise Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has experience coaching youth athletes at Speedway Village Pointe and volunteering as a coach for the UNL Barbell Sports Club. Abbie has also worked with ultimate athletes to improve speed, agility, and power.
As a competitive powerlifter, Abbie has placed in the top four at every national meet and won first place at the North American Powerlifting Championship. Her passion for strength training drives her coaching, where she helps clients achieve fitness goals—whether it’s lifting heavy weights or improving everyday movement.

Jon Cook is a Certified Special Populations Specialist (CSPS) through NSCA and a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through ACE. He earned a Bachelor’s in Sports Management from Peru State College, where he also played baseball for the Bobcats.
Jon’s experience includes personal training and health fitness instruction at Bryan LifePointe, specializing in clients recovering from cardiac and pulmonary rehab, as well as those with metabolic, musculoskeletal, and neurological conditions. He has also conducted corporate wellness assessments, focusing on improving health outcomes for diverse populations.
